On Thursday 27 November, Rea Mattocks, Director of Housing and Social Services at Merton, will unveil a plaque, renaming the day centre on the High Path estate, which from Thursday will be known as the High Path Community Resource Centre.
The centre, which caters for adults with learning disabilities, from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm. Also provides an invaluable service to the local community, acting a base for the High Path Residents Association, and the local neighbourhood wardens. A number of other local organisations use the centre as their base, such as the Uptown Club, PHAB, People First, Pathways and the College Leavers Group
Vaughan Charlton, Day Centre Manager, said of the re-launch:
“I am delighted that everyone involved has made the project such a success. We look forward to building these relationships further and becoming an integral part of the local community”.
