Residents survey shows great improvement across the council

Last years’ annual residents survey, which was carried out in October and November last year, shows that public perception levels of the Council have improved considerably, with higher resident satisfaction levels than other London authorities in many services.

There has been a substantial improvement in residents’ perceptions of the Council’s ‘effectiveness’, with residents saying they find the Council to be ‘efficient’ and ‘doing a good job’.

Satisfaction with communications from the Council remains the same as last year, when there was a 10% improvement. And 71% of residents who took part found staff friendly and polite, higher than both Outer London and London averages.

Overall there has been an improvement in the ratings for nearly all service areas from 2002, with substantial improvements shown for social services (11%) and nursery (10%), primary (7%) and secondary (12%) education.
