High Path will be the hot topic during a housing and community consultation at Merton Abbey Primary School on Saturday 28 January from 12pm – 3pm.
The event will give residents and particularly young people, the opportunity to say what they like and don’t like about High Path and in the surrounding area and suggest improvements.
‘Planning For Real’ uses a three-dimensional model of the relevant area within the borough to help residents identify the issues of most importance to them. The feedback received will help the Council develop a Neighbourhood Plan for High Path to improve the environment, opportunities and housing conditions for the local community.
All residents are encouraged to come along with their ideas while free refreshments, a raffle and activities for adults and young people will be provided.
Councillor Russell Makin, Merton’s Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration, said:
“This is an important opportunity for the residents of the High Path estate and surrounding area to have a voice in the future of their community.”
Abbey Multi-Agency Group, which comprises service providers, groups and residents who discuss local issues and work together to create solutions, is supporting the afternoon while Merton Council, Groundwork Merton and the Neighbourhood Greens Fund are jointly funding the event.
