Ricard’s Lodge, Ursuline and Wimbledon College have all exceeded expectations with significant improvements in their results.
Dave Hill, Director of Children, Schools and Families said:
“We are pleased with the rise in results across the borough overall and wish to congratulate young people in their efforts in achieving this rise. However, we are determined to ensure that future years’ results rise more quickly because this gives young people from Merton better life chances.”
Oonagh Moulton, Cabinet Member for School Standards said:
“I congratulate all students for their hard work, achievements and results they have attained this year and also the input of staff and parental support. I should like to wish them well for the future and their chosen paths.
“It is a priority of the council to seek to raise standards and ensure that a successful education is possible for all children. We shall be working to ensure that Merton Council, Partners, Heads, Governors, staff and parents are working together to raise the levels of attainment in this borough.”
