Jah Wobble and the Invaders of the Heart promise a ‘heady trip through four decades of music’ when they perform at Merton Arts Space (MAS) on July 1.

The event celebrates the one year anniversary of MAS which offers a unique venue at the back of Wimbledon Library.

It is used as a library and study area during the day and a performance space in the evenings.

The legendary bass player, who was part of the original Punk Movement in the 1970s, made his debut with Public Image Ltd alongside Johnny ‘Rotten’ Lydon.

His love of reggae and world music predates its popular adoption by the music industry and he has recorded several critically acclaimed albums and an autobiography called Memoirs of a Geezer.

It also coincides with the release of a new album, The Usual Suspects, featuring new recordings of Jah Wobble and his various bands most memorable songs.
