An Energy User Cruiser will be at the Sainsbury Homebase site in Jubilee Way on the Merton Industrial Area on Friday, 1 December, to help local businesses save energy.
A host of informative activities have been planned and businesses will be able to:
find out – practical ways in which to cut energy costs
discover – what the Climate Change levy is and how it will affect them
obtain – detailed information about environmental issues (waste, pollution etc) tailored to their individual needs
meet – the new co-ordinator from Groundwork Merton, who will be working to improve industrial estates in Merton
discuss – views on environmental and other issues affecting businesses in the local area with officers from Merton Council
Presentations will take place at 8.15am, 11am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Visitors are welcome to join the sponsors afterwards for refreshments and one-to-one discussions about the individual needs of their business.
