FREE CYCLING TRAINING FOR MERTON CHILDREN

Merton Council is organising free cyclist-training courses throughout the summer holidays for children aged 10 years old and over at schools across the borough.

The RightTrack Cycling Awareness Programme, produced by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, involves basic cycling awareness and on-road training. Trainees need their own bicycles and approved cycling helmets but high visibility clothing will be provided.

Certificates will be awarded to those who attend each session of the course and pass the final assessment. Courses take place on the following dates:

Monday 30 July to Friday 3 August
10.00 am to 12 noon at Hatfield School, Lower Morden Lane, Morden
2.00pm to 4.00pm at Bishopsford Community School, Lilleshall Road, Morden

Monday 6 August to Friday 10 August
10.00 am to 12 noon at Eastfields School, Acacia Road, Mitcham
2.00pm to 4.00pm at Bishopsford Community School, Lilleshall Road, Morden

Monday 13 August to Friday 17 August
10.00 am to 12 noon at Bishopsford Community School, Lilleshall Road, Morden
2.00pm to 4.00pm at Hatfield School, Lower Morden Lane, Morden

Monday 20 August to Friday 24 August
10.00 am to 12 noon at Hatfield School, Lower Morden Lane, Morden
2.00pm to 4.00pm at Eastfields School, Acacia Road, Mitcham
