Merton Council?s Housing Services is holding an open day for residents in Morden who will be affected by this year?s Capital Works Programme.
Morden residents who will be receiving home repairs or improvements are encouraged to visit the open day on Wednesday 20 March any time between 10am and 7pm to find out more about the scheme.
During 2002 and 2003, Merton is spending about £6 million on refurbishing and repairing 1611 council properties in the borough.
The event is being held in Ravensbury Community Hall, 10a Ravensbury Grove, Morden and council officers and consultants will be on hand to advise and show residents all of the proposed plans and how they will affect Morden.
Before the open day, each household that will be included in the programme of work will receive a letter and follow up reminder about the open day. Morden District?s open day is planned for March.
District Housing Manager, Dawn Helps, said: ?The day is designed to provide answers to any questions residents have about the work we?ll be carrying out no matter how small.
?Our team will be able to provide held and advice and address any concerns, so I hope as many people as possible can make it for a chat.?
Transport can be provided for residents with disabilities to and from the open day. People should contact our Tenant Participation Section on 020 8545 3618 or 020 8545 4456 to arrange this service.
