Merton Council will place a memorial bench in Dundonald Recreation Ground on Saturday 11 May at 11am, in memory of groundsman Kevin Giles who worked at the park for 23 years.

Kevin died of Cancer last September and it was felt appropriate to place the memorial bench in the park where he worked for so many years. He was an extremely conscientious worker and even won the Employee of the Year award three years ago. Kevin’s family and friends, council staff and the Mayor and Mayoress of Merton will attend the ceremony.

WHEN: Saturday 11 May at 11am

WHERE: Dundonald Recreation Ground – on the left side of the cricket pavilion facing the cricket square
