The Ethnic Minority Centre in association with London Borough of Merton are pleased to announce that they will be holding a Spring Multi-Cultural Show as part of the Racial Harmony Project, on Wednesday 21st May 2003 at the new Odeon Cinema, Wimbledon.
The Merton Ethnic Minority Centre is an umbrella organisation for over 60 black minority ethnic groups in Merton. The event has been made possible by a grant from the Merton Arts Development Fund.
The programme for the evening has been developed to appeal to people of all ages. It will be a combination of song, music and dance with local and international artists performing; a celebration of the cultural diversity of Merton. It is hoped that the event will promote racial harmony and community spirit through communities working together on a joint project.
The event promises to be a colourful evening of cultural diversity, featuring flamenco dancing, Chinese acrobats and children’s dance troupe, traditional African dancing, Asian TV playback singers and much more.
Tickets, Adults £5.00 and Children £3.00, are on sale now from the Odeon Cinema Box Office on 020 8944 6890 or from Merton Ethnic Minority Centre on 020 8648 0084.
