Remembrance and Armistice Day services

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY, 9 NOVEMBER 2003

Nelson Hospital Forecourt, Kingston Road, SW20

The service will commence at 9am and will be attended by the Mayor of Merton, Councillor Maxi Martin, members of Merton Council, health groups, the Royal British Legion and other community organisations.

Mitcham War Memorial, Lower Green West, Mitcham

The service takes place at 10.40am at the Mitcham War Memorial, Lower Green West, Mitcham. The Deputy Mayor of Merton, Councillor Judy Saunders will attend alongside members of the Council, the Royal British Legion and members of other organisations in the borough. A parade will start from the British Legion Club in St Marks Road at 10.20am to the Mitcham War Memorial in time for the service.

Wimbledon War Memorial, Wimbledon Village, SW19

The service will commence at 10.40 a.m. at the Wimbledon War Memorial, Wimbledon Village. It will be attended by the Mayor of Merton, Councillor Maxi Martin, members of the Council, Civic representatives and members of organisations in the borough.

ARMISTICE DAY, Tuesday 11 NOVEMBER 2003

Merton Civic Centre

The service will commence at 10.50am in the forecourt of the Civic Centre, Morden. It will be attended by the Mayor, Councillor Maxi Martin, members of the Council, Civic representatives and staff of the London Borough of Merton. Members of the Royal British Legion will also be in attendance.

Clock Tower, Fair Green, Mitcham

This service will commence at 10.50am at Fair Green, Mitcham. The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Judy Saunders will attend, alongside members of the Council and Civic representatives. Members of the Royal British Legion will also be in attendance.
