London Borough of Merton and MAP are holding their first Senior Merton meeting on Wednesday 5 November 2003, 2pm -4pm, in the Council Chamber, Merton Civic Centre, London Road Merton.
The meeting is an opportunity for residents over 55 and groups working with Merton’s older people to share views, events and news and to meet council representatives. It will also feature the launch of Street Watch.
Street Watch is a new scheme where members work in partnership with the council by acting as the eyes and ears of the borough. Street Watch Members are encouraged to look out for and report a variety of environmental problems ranging from abandoned vehicles and graffiti to broken streetlights and stray dogs. The scheme is currently being aimed at residents over 55 but may be rolled out to other age groups in 2004.
Please contact Ida Bergfors on 020 8545 4093 if you would like to attend.
