In conjunction with National Adoption Week, which runs from the 3rd to 9th November, the British Association for Adoption & Fostering (BAAF), who co-ordinate the awareness week, have launched a campaign which aims to find parents for the 3,000 children in care who need new families.
BAAF is hoping to raise awareness of the thousands of children in the UK who do not have a family to call their own. The charity is calling on everyone to think about whether they can offer a child a loving and permanent home.
There will be a stand in Merton Link at Merton Civic Centre, providing information about adoption – or residents can call Merton’s freephone number for an information pack or for an informal chat on 0800 073 0874.
