The Leader of Merton Council, Councillor Andrew Judge, is holding weekly Surgery sessions to offer advice and assistance to borough residents on a range of council-related matters.
The Leader’s Surgery is being held between 10am and Noon each Friday in Room Five, Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, Morden. Residents wishing to visit are advised to call 020 8545 3365 to arrange an appointment.
Alternatively, visitors may ‘drop-in’ for a brief meeting between Noon and 12.30pm. No appointment is necessary for drop-in visits, however to ensure as many people as possible can be seen, a limitation of no more than ten minutes per visit applies.
“I am delighted to be able to offer assistance to residents on issues of specific local interest or importance to them, or concerning the operation of the Council.” said Councillor Judge.
“The exceptions are specific objections to planning applications, which should be brought to the attention of the Planning Applications Committee and objections with regard to street management schemes, which should be brought to the attention of Councillor Mickey Spacey as the Cabinet decision maker on those issues”
The Surgery will not operate during August and bank holidays.
The Councillor is now also available online 24 hours a day at http://www.merton.gov.uk/leader/surgery.asp.
