Lavender ward launches neighbourhood surgeries

The first in a regular series of community surgeries for residents of the Lavender ward of Mitcham is to be held on Wednesday August 11.

The walk-in meetings are to be run monthly and will give residents the opportunity to discuss neighbourhood issues such as housing and crime.

The monthly surgeries have been organised between Merton Council’s Housing Department, in association with English Churches Housing Association and London & Quadrant Housing Trust in partnership with the neighbourhood wardens and the local police.

The first meeting gets underway at 4pm and runs for two hours at the the Portacabin in Lavender Park, Lavender Avenue in Mitcham. Further events are planned for September 8 and October 13.
