Essential carriageway reconstruction work will be carried out along Coombe Lane, between West Barnes lane and Copse Hill for three consecutive weekends commencing Saturday 13 November.

The reconstruction of Coombe Lane is required to improve the road surface and strengthen the road’s foundations. The new road surface will provide a smoother journey for commuters and will generate less noise for both drivers and residents.

During the three weekends of reconstruction, traffic will be diverted along West Barnes Lane and the A3. Coombe Lane will be open as usual from Mondays to Fridays. As the work proceeds Merton Council will provide residents with specific parking and access information.

Merton Council apologises for any disruption the road works may cause and advise motorists to avoid the area where possible whilst these works are in progress.
