Rugrats in Mitcham

Come and meet Chuckie and Angelica from The Rugrats at a family funday, with guest appearances from noon, to be held in Mitcham on Saturday November 20.

The funday at Canons Leisure Centre, Madeira Road, Mitcham includes special events and activities for all the family to enjoy and has been organised by Merton’s Children’s Information Service to help parents find out everything they need to know about childcare in the borough.

The day gets underway at 10am and finishes at 3pm. Whilst the kids are playing, parents can take the opportunity to talk to the experts on hand about childcare, early education, tax and benefits issues as well as youth services available within Merton.

Billie Omarshah, Childcare Recruitment and Outreach Officer for Merton explains:

“There is a huge amount of help and advice out there for parents requiring childcare. Not many parents are aware of services available to them within the borough or even how to access them. By putting on this event we hope not only to raise awareness of our service but also provide a funday for the whole family to remember.”

Activities at the fun day include jewellery making, henna tattoos and face painting. There will also be the opportunity to learn a whole host of activities including circus tricks and puppet making. Canons will also be offering free use of its fantastic soft play area.
