Concert in the Court

Wimbledon’s Centre Court Shopping Centre will be transformed into a spectacular concert hall with the acoustics of a grand cathedral on Sunday 12 December at 7.30pm to host the Wimbledon Messiah, in aid of the Mayor of Merton’s Charities.

The Wimbledon Messiah, to be performed by Brandenburg Sinfonia and Wimbledon Choral Society, will offer residents a new and exciting rendition of George Frederic Handel’s masterpiece. The event, supported by Time and Leisure, Kall Kwik and the Polka theatre, aims to raise funds for St Raphael’s Hospice and Merton Crossroads.

The Mayor of Merton, Councillor Margaret Brierly said, “Wimbledon’s Centre Court is the ideal setting for this performance. I am really looking forward to the evening as it is the perfect way to celebrate Christmas.”
