What young people want

Merton’s Life Chances Overview and Scrutiny Panel has set up a task group to review the way young people are involved in decisions affecting them and the youth services available in the borough. The group will help develop and recommend a plan to Cabinet for working with young people and providing the appropriate services.

Councillor Nick Draper, Chair of the Life Chances Overview and Scrutiny Panel, said:

“We want to know what young people in Merton feel about the services they receive and how they can be encouraged and assisted to become more involved in the decisions that affect them. It is important that we know what young people want and how best to engage them.”

The panel is seeking input from individuals (particularly young people) and community organisations. Feedback can be sent to the Scrutiny Support Officer, Chief Executive’s Department, London Borough of Merton, Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX or scrutiny@merton.gov.uk
