PRESS INVITE/PHOTOCALL: Joining forces to paint the estate

What: You are invited to join Estate Services and Soul in the City as they work with volunteers to paint the communal areas of Priory Close and Becket Close on High Path Estate.
When: Wednesday 2 August, 11am onwards
Where: Priory Close and Becket Close, High Path Estate, South Wimbledon

On Wednesday 2 August a group of around 40 volunteers will join forces with Merton Council’s Estate Services team and Soul in the City to paint the communal areas of Priory Close and Becket Close on High Path Estate.

Glenn Burnell, Merton Council’s Estate Services Manager said:

“This project has been an excellent way of involving local residents. My team have enjoyed working with the local volunteers and Soul in the City to make a real difference to the local environment, this is the second year we have worked in partnership with Soul in the City and I hope this becomes a regular annual event, one which goes from strength to strength.’

Jo Williams, Merton Council’s Head of Housing Services said:

“I am pleased we will be working with residents, volunteers and Soul in the City again this year, building on the success of last years project. This is an excellent example of how working together can help improve the local environment for residents.”
