Understand how Merton Council is performing – check the dashboard

Merton Council is now publishing a monthly performance dashboard on the internet for the first time.

The dashboard is an electronic tool, which reports on the council’s progress against the key performance indicators as defined by government legislation, and local improvement priorities set out in the council’s business plan.

The dashboard has provided valuable information to senior council officers and councillors over the past few months. It is now available to the public so that they can see how Merton’s services are performing on a month-by-month basis.

Each performance indicator has a profiled monthly target, which shows where the council expected to be by this time of the year, and a set deviation from this target is used to calculate the colour.

· Red (missing the target),
· Amber (just missing the target),
· Green (on target) or
· Blue (exceeding the target).

The dashboard can be viewed at http://www.merton.gov.uk/perfmanagement.htm
Full instructions on how to use the dashboard can also be found on this page.

If you have any queries about the dashboard please email performance@merton.gov.uk

Councillor Corinna Edge, cabinet member for change management and performance said, ” This is a really good electronic tool, which will ensure that all our residents and stakeholders will be able to see how the council is performing on a monthly basis”
