Merton Council and its contractors have successfully cleared all major obstructions caused by Thursday’s severe weather conditions.

Over 70 calls were made to Merton Council regarding fallen trees. Trees deemed dangerous were made safe by tree surgeons.

Alison Broom, head of Street Management said:

‘ I would like to thank the public for their swift reporting of damaged trees and other obstructions resulting from the severe weather conditions on Thursday and both our contractors and Merton staff for their tireless work in this very intensive clear up operation.”
