‘This is a good set of results for Merton, showing a steady improvement over last year. I am particularly pleased to see that the results in English are up this year after suffering a worrying dip in 2006.
Merton is now among the eight most improved local authorities in the country. This is testament to the hard work of pupils, teachers, carers and parents.’
