The Free Play Strategy outlines the partnership where young people, parents, council officers and community groups are working together to develop free play opportunities offering children and young people a range of choice.
Merton has also developed a Parenting Strategy which suggests ways in which information, advice and support can be provided to parents and carers to help them bring up their children.
Councillor Debbie Shears, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services said:
‘These strategies sets out Merton’s commitment to working with families in order to give all our children and young people the best start in life.’
