Merton residents benefit from maintenance service

Merton residents are benefiting from a new maintenance service delivered by Merton Council in conjunction with Connaught Partnerships.

Connaught was recently appointed as Merton’s partner contractor to deliver the service to over 6,500 properties within the borough,
following a competitive tender process. The partnership will deliver a repair and maintenance service and refurbishment of empty homes.

Connaught began delivering the service on the 30 June. As an integrated service provider, residents can rest assured that Connaught will manage
the repairs service and deliver all works to a consistently high standard.

Mark Everard, Area Director for Connaught Partnerships, said: ‘We are delighted to be working in partnership with Merton Council. You will soon spot us in our Connaught red vans delivering the repairs service across the borough. We are committed to doing our bit to help make Merton a better place in which to live and work – for example using the recently launched ‘bluemotion’ vehicles which provide an environmentally
friendly alternative to traditional vehicles – and also by being actively involved in community projects.’

Linda Scott, Merton Council Cabinet Member for Housing Adult Care and Health, said: ‘Merton Council is pleased to announce the new partnership with Connaught. We are looking forward to working with them to provide a quality repairs service that is efficient, responsive and puts Merton’s residents first.’
