Merton Council cabinet face the public in question time

Merton Council invites the borough’s residents and business ratepayers to submit a written question to the council’s cabinet members at the next public council meeting on September 17 2008.

Those wishing to take part may ask one question of no more than 50 words in length and if they are present at the meeting, may also ask a supplementary question arising from the response.

Merton Council deputy leader and cabinet member for corporate resources, Councillor Samantha George said:

” We are always keen to hear the views of our residents to help us in putting their needs first. This is a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in Merton to get direct answers to their questions and help us ensure we are offering the best value services possible.”

If you would like to send a question please do so in under 50 words together with your name and address to democratic services at the civic centre, either by post or email to council.questions@merton.gov.uk . The deadline for receipt is Friday 5 September 2008 at 5pm.

For further information please contact the Democratic Services team 020 8545 3361.
