Everyone is welcome to brighten up the winter blues at this year’s Charity Mayor’s Ball, being held at the Courtside Restaurant on Friday 26 February.
The black tie party at the All England Tennis and Croquet Club, in Church Road, Wimbledon, starts at 7.30pm, with dinner served at 8pm, followed by dancing. Tickets to the ball are £60 and cash raised will go to the Mayor’s charities, Grenfell Housing, which offers housing, support and training to those in need, and Merton Mind, which helps those suffering from mental health problems.
More information and tickets are available from the Mayor’s Parlour, Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX, by telephone on 020 8545 3517 or email: mayor@merton.gov.uk.
Merton Mayor Councillor Nick Draper said: “I am delighted that this year’s ball will be in the Courtside restaurant, by Centre Court, this year. What a venue! I hope as many people as possible join my Mayoress Sheila and me and make it a night to remember for years to come.
“All the money raised from this event will go to Grenfell Housing and Training and Merton Mind, excellent charities which give much needed help and support to Merton’s most vulnerable residents.”
