Merton Council’s cabinet member for environmental sustainability and regeneration, Cllr Andrew Judge said: “We want people to enjoy themselves when they’re outside having barbeques and picnics this summer. We’ve all got to be more careful as the weather heats up, so we minimise the risk of food poisoning. Our experts will be offering tips about keeping food safe this summer.”
There are around 120,000 extra cases of illness recorded across the UK when the weather is warmest.
