Share your photos of a special 2012 summer

Merton Council is calling on residents and businesses to upload their photo memories via its website by 15 November.

The best photographs will be selected and displayed on the council’s Flickr site.

This summer has been rich in culture and sport with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the Queen’s visit to the borough, the torch relay and the incredible London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games taking centre stage.

Merton Council cabinet member for community and culture, Councillor Nick Draper, said: “We want to see photos from Merton residents which encapsulate the incredible summer Merton has had. I want people to post their photos of the Royal and Olympic events and any of the street parties or related events they may have been to over the summer and I want our beautiful borough and our wonderful residents to figure large in them. This is a great opportunity for everyone to share their photographs, and make Merton’s Olympic Legacy truly their own.”
