Merton Council has replaced the play equipment in Morden Rec which was damaged by vandals earlier this summer.

The newly installed pirate ship slide and treasure chest under the palm tree are ready for children to enjoy and take them on an imaginative treasure island adventure.

Merton Council cabinet member for children’s services Councillor Maxi Martin said: “It’s wonderful to see children having fun in this lovely play area once more. We’re lucky to have so many open green spaces in Merton which we all need to look after so we can all enjoy them. I would encourage everyone to get outdoors and into our parks this summer.”
