Support the Mayor’s charities at Lebanese night

Leader of Merton Council Councillor Stephen Alambritis is inviting residents to a Lebanese night in aid of the Mayor of Merton Councillor Krystal Miller’s charities.

Taking place at Layla, 33 High Street, Wimbledon Village on 7 April, the evening will kick off with a traditional three course Lebanese meal being served at 7.30pm. Money raised from the night will be donated to Home Start Merton and Polka Theatre.

Both of the Mayor of Merton’s charities are focused on helping children in the borough with Home-Start Merton supporting local families since 1993 and offering free support, friendship and practical help to families with children under five while Polka Theatre is committed to using the power of performance to unlock the potential in the children of Merton, whatever their background or ability.

There are 80 seats available at the Lebanese night in Layla’s Wimbledon restaurant which serves authentic Lebanese dishes with a modern twist.

Councillor Stephen Alambritis said: “I’d encourage everyone to come along to our Lebanese night and support the Mayor of Merton’s charities. The night is going to be good fun with great food and a chance for members of the community to come together to support two very worthy causes, Home Start Merton and Polka Theatre.”

Tickets cost £25 and can be booked by visiting the Mayor of Merton’s webpage or calling the Mayor’s office on 020 8545 3517. For more information about Layla visit
