Merton Council’s Local Land Charges team has been shortlisted for the second year running for a prestigious industry award, the national Land Data Awards for Excellence, for their achievements and outstanding work in providing local land charges services in the borough.
The shortlisting for the category, Best Performing Level 2 National Land Information Service Local Land Charges Department, recognises Merton’s high standard of work, its quick turnaround times for property searches and being competitive on pricing. The nomination is based on performance between June and December 2014 and Merton managed to secure the position as one of the top 10 local authorities in the country in this category.
Merton Council Cabinet Member for Finance, Councillor Mark Alison said “I am delighted to hear that our local land charges team has been shortlisted for their excellent service and professionalism.
The winner of the award is due to be announced at the Local Land Charges Awards in the Bristol Hotel, 2 March 2015.
