Bestselling author to visit Morden Library

Merton residents will get the chance to meet Crime Writers’ Association‘s Macallan Short Story Dagger Winner and two-time Stonewall writer of the Year, Stella Duffy on Thursday 30 July at 7pm in Morden Library.

Author of ‘The Room of Lost Things’ and ‘The Purple Shroud’, Stella will be discussing her career as novelist and playwright along with her work as co-director of Fun Palaces.

Merton Council cabinet member for community and culture Councillor Nick Draper said: “Having top class authors visit us in Merton helps inspire an atmosphere of culture and learning. It’s great for Merton residents to see published authors and who knows it could inspire a bestselling author of the future to start writing.”

“Organising author evenings like these shows that Merton Council can provide first class entertainment that everyone can enjoy.”
