Now that summer is with us, why not go outside and make use of the free outdoor gyms in Merton’s parks.
They have been installed in our parks to encourage residents of all fitness levels to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and get in shape.
You can find our green gyms in a number of our green spaces including:
- Donnelly Green
- Figges Marsh
- King Georges
- Morden Park
- Morden Recreation Ground
- Mostyn Gardens
- Oakleigh Way Recreation Ground
- Pollards Hill Recreation Ground
- Ravensbury Park
- Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Fields
Cabinet Member for environmental sustainability and regeneration, Councillor Andrew Judge said: “We are lucky that Merton is one of London’s greenest boroughs and we are embracing this and using our green spaces effectively. It’s great that we are investing in our parks to make them a great place for people to visit and exercise in. Our green gyms are free, allowing you to get fit in the fresh air whilst not having to worry about gym membership. I encourage everyone to go to their local park this summer, use our outdoor gyms and play areas and keep fit and healthy.”
