Merton pays respect to Brussels

Merton is flying the Union Jack at half-mast today as a mark of respect for those who lost their lives in the terrible events at Brussels yesterday.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Stephen Alambritis said: “The atrocities which took place in Brussels yesterday have sadly shocked the world once again.

“Our thoughts are with the victims and their family and friends as well as those who have connections with Brussels and Belgium.”
