Merton Council election results have revealed a majority win for Labour.
The electorate has put Labour in overall control of the borough with 34 seats out of a possible 60.
The council’s 60 seat are broken down as follows:
Labour – 34
Conservatives – 17
Liberal Democrats – 6
Merton Park Independent Residents – 3
23 new councillors have been elected onto the council. The first council meeting of the newly elected administration will meet on Wednesday 23 May.
