As a mark of remembrance on the one-year anniversary of the tragic Grenfell Tower fire, Merton will join public bodies across the country and illuminate Merton Civic Centre green on Thursday 14 June from 01:00 until dawn and then at dusk until midnight.

The Leader of the Council Councillor Stephen Alambritis said: “We take this time to remember those who lost their lives and have been affected by the horrific fire at the Grenfell Tower one year ago. Supporting the Green for Grenfell is Merton’s way of expressing love and solidarity.”
