Merton paddling pools to receive refurbishment in time for summer holidays

We know how important our paddling pools are to families across the borough. That’s why we’re giving them a face lift and working to ensure they are all open by 23 July.

Work has already begun at Colliers Wood Recreation Ground and at Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Fields, with both sites due to be completed by the end of June.

King Georges Recreation Ground paddling pool upgrade will be completed by the beginning of July.

Our other sites at Rowan Recreation Ground, Morden Park and Sir Joseph Hood Recreation ground will be open this summer and will get their full upgrades in September.

All of our paddling pools should be open for the start of the school holidays on 23 July and will remain open until 4 September.

Watch Councillor Natasha Irons, Cabinet Member for Local Environment, Green Spaces & Climate, visiting the Colliers Wood Recreation Ground paddling pool to get a first look at the work being done.
