Merton’s Air Quality Team has put Merton on the international stage for their work tackling air pollution throughout London.

The team won the prestigious Innovator of the Year category at the Fleet Vison International awards in recognition of their great work.

They have been delivering the world’s first Construction Low Emission Zone in partnership with the GLA and London Councils, ensuring that equipment used on construction sites in London is as clean as possible. This is benefiting residents in Merton and beyond, making the air we breathe cleaner.

The award cements Merton’s position as a leader in the field of air quality, working with the construction industry to tackle pollution.
