This week is London Climate Action Week, so it’s the perfect time to:
1. Discover – what the Council are doing to address climate change through our resident summary report for 2023.

• Make sure you save the date for Canons Sustainable Summer Fair. Held at Canons House & Grounds in Mitcham on Saturday 29 July, 11am-4pm, this fun-filled family day out will offer food and drinks stalls, live music, and free activities for all ages, with sustainability and community at its heart.
2. Engage – with our Climate Action Newsletter to benefit from local funding opportunities, projects and events which protect the planet, your pockets and your health.
3. Act – Join Merton’s Climate Action Group, to develop community led climate projects which help to reduce emissions, change behaviour and protect against the impacts of climate change.
Four local residents have kick started their careers in the environmental sector in Merton, since joining Merton’s Climate Action Group. Funded by the council, their projects have made a real impact, reaching thousands of residents through Merton Garden Streets, The Wheel and Energy Matters.
