Merton Council together with South London Tamil Welfare Group and Asylum Welcome are presenting an evening of free entertainment on Wednesday 27th June 2001 at Merton Hall, 76 Kingston Road, SW19 to mark Refugee Week 2001.

The evening of food, music and dance will start at 6.30 p.m. with the launch of a display on the refugee and asylum theme and a brief talk by Nick Hardwick, Director of the Refugee Council.

Following the talk a multicultural programme will include performances from Narrating Beggars, T.S.Hailu, Up-Town Dancers as well as a Tamil folk dance demonstration.

A specially prepared meal will round off the evening and there is no charge for entrance and food
