Merton Council is looking for two local residents to appoint its Standards Committee.

The non-political committee has been established to promote and maintain high standards of conduct by elected Councillors and co-opted members of the Council, and is part of the Government’s proposals to modernise local government.

The jobs are voluntary, although expenses will be paid and there will be training in the role of the Standards Committee.

The posts are open to any Merton resident or business person.

Applications close on 15th July.
