Merton offers help and advice to local businesses
Merton is hosting a free Enterprise Fair offering business advice and seminars to local companies and individuals at the Morden Baptist Hall on Saturday 23 February between 10am and 3pm.
The Enterprise Fair is aimed at helping those considering self-employment or who have recently started trading, as well as small to medium businesses employing fewer than 50 employees.
The event brings together under one roof all the agencies and organisations that provide business support and guidance. Many stalls will provide professional help and guidance to visitors, covering all aspects of business.
A series of short seminars will also run on the day: Becoming Self Employed, Raising Finance, Marketing, Export Opportunities, Internet and Websites.
The exhibition is organised with the support of the Council, Business Link for London and Merton Chamber of Commerce. Finance has also been secured from the London Development Agency through Merton?s Business Investment Fund.
Merton?s Business Investment Fund (MBIF) has helped 20 local businesses to set up or expand the services they provide.
Su Assinen, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: ?This is a unique opportunity to meet all the experts under one roof, who will provide advice, guidance, support and financial assistance. Talking with the people who can help with business success can make a real difference to local business, local jobs and the local economy.?
