Queen’s Golden Jubilee

Merton Awards

Merton Council is honouring 100 citizens during the Queen’s Golden Jubilee.

On behalf of the Council, the Royal Mint has struck 100 special medals featuring an image of Her Majesty the Queen on one side and the Merton Council crest on the other. The medals will be presented at a special ceremony at Morden House later in the year.

The awards will be given to residents of Merton who have made a significant contribution to the life of the Borough. A person to be nominated is an individual (not a group or organisation) who has made special or significant contribution to their Merton community, improved the lives of others or achieved a personal goal against the odds

Nominations will be received up to and including 20 May. Late nominations or nominations that appear to have been orchestrated for a particular person will be rejected.

Official entry forms are available at Merton Libraries, at the Civic Centre.
