Merton Council urge residents to vote for their lollipop person of the year
Merton Council is urging residents to nominate Merton’s best lollipop people for The Lollipop Person of the Year Awards 2002, by the closing date of 1 July 2002.
Merton’s lollipop people are local community hero’s deserving of recognition. They make crossing the roads safe for both adults and children in the borough and are often a familiar face in the local community. Residents can show their thanks by nominating their local lollipop person for the title.
The Lollipop Peron of the Year 2002, which is sponsored by Domino’s Pizza, will be selected on their ability to:
·Make crossing the road a happy and safe experience for children and adults
·Be sensitive to the needs of both pedestrians and drivers
·Demonstrate good local knowledge
·Build trust and positive relationships with local people
·Go above and beyond the call of duty.
To nominate a Merton Lollipop person for the award pick up a Nomination form from Merton Council Civic Centre, any Domino’s Pizza store. Entries must be received by 1 July.
