The free event is organised by Merton Council and Merton Chamber of Commerce, with support from Business Link for London and the European Social Fund, and brings together under one roof all the agencies and organisations that provide business support, guidance and information covering all aspects of business.
The exhibition is aimed at:
– People thinking of setting up in business

– Black and ethnic minority businesses
– Voluntary organisations
– Social enterprises

– Partnerships
– Established businesses.
There are fundamental issues that affect the success of a business such as marketing, health and safety, finance, IT, VAT, Income tax and keeping up to date with current legislation, regulations and business development. Almost everyone who can help with such information and advice for running a business will be represented at the exhibition.
A series of short seminars will run at regular intervals throughout the day on subjects such as: Becoming self-employed, Raising Finance, Marketing your business, Export, Internet and E-commerce and the Internet. There will also be the opportunity for a one-to-one surgery with a professional business advisor on any aspect of developing a business. Whatever the subject, from personnel to funding, there will be someone there to listen and advise.
Su Assinen, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: “This is a unique opportunity to meet all the experts under one roof, who will provide advice, guidance, support and financial assistance. Talking with the people who can help with business success can make a real difference to local business, local jobs and the local economy.”
