On Wednesday 17 March, the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) Listening Bus stopped at the Chaucer Centre in Canterbury Road, Morden. Providing invaluable information to parents and children with hearing difficulties.
The bus is fully equipped with the latest devices for the home to aid children with hearing difficulties, such as vibrating smoke alarms and pages alerting you to the doorbell and the phone. It also displays a number of aids to help children learn to sign, including books and toys, which are made to be worn by the person teaching the child.
For further information on the NDCS, contact the free helpline on 0808 800 8880 (voice and text) or log on to their website at http://www.ndcs.org.uk
