Merton is on the lookout for young people in school year 12 or under to represent the borough this summer in the 2004 London Heathrow Youth Games – Europe’s largest youth sport competition.

The main finals will take place on the weekend of July 11 and 12, at Crystal Palace National Sports Arena with preliminary rounds over the three previous weekends.

Competitors must either live in or go to school in Merton to be eligible to represent Merton in the games.

The London Heathrow Youth Games is now in its 27th year and features over 40 different sporting events. The range includes everything from angling to archery, karate to volleyball and even weightlifting, as well as a selection of events for young disabled people.
