Following the by-election held on 10 June in Lower Morden Ward, Conservative Party Candidate Ronald William Wilson has been elected councillor for the ward.

The by-election was held after former Councillor Leslie Mutch resigned his seat after moving away from Merton.

The elections for the London Mayor & Assembly and the European Parliament were also held yesterday. The results for these elections will start to be announced late on Friday 11 June. The result for the European election will be announced on Sunday night after voting has finished in the rest of the newly-expanded European Union.
