Come and do your bit for the environment on Saturday 17 July, when the Metropolitan Police, Safer Neighbourhoods, Merton Council and local residents will blitz through the areas of St Helier Ward, clearing away litter and graffiti.
The clean-up is part of a larger string of clean ups during the week, arranged in partnership with the Metropolitan Police, Safer Neighbourhoods and Merton Council.
The clean up will concentrate on designated areas of St Helier Ward, and will start at 9.30am at Morden Rec Pavilion and finish at 2pm. Entrance to the park is either on Farm Road or Middleton Road in Morden. Residents are invited to join in and help out at any time, for as long as they like during the clean up!
Councillor Linda Kirby, Cabinet Member for Environmental Quality said: “It would be good to see lots of residents get involved. Community action can be a lot of fun and it can make a big difference to the environment as well.”
If you would like to attend, please contact Pat DeJesus or Ibrahim Walker, Merton Council’s officers on 020 8545 4109/3104.
